Student Groups for Undergraduates

SURF (Society for Undergraduate Resources in Fisheries)

To enrich the educational and social experience for undergrad students in the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences at UW through activities that promote community and support undergrad growth through learning.

Beta Beta Beta (Biological Honors Society)

Beta Beta Beta is an honor society for students, especially undergraduates, dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study. It is also for students who have earned a special recognition through their efforts and accomplishments, and are interested in meeting with other students of the same interests.

UW Coastal Society

To promote the interdisciplinary aspects of coastal and marine issues.

Earth Club

To plan and execute projects that encourage environmental stewardship on campus and in the UW community. Our main events will be focused around Earth Day, during which we will promote awareness of environmental issues.

Sustainable UW Alliance

To generate and maintain campus-wide communication, coordination, and integration among organizations and individuals who are stakeholders in the transition to ecologically sustainable practices at the UW.

Surfrider, UW Chapter

To promote the awareness and protection of the world’s oceans, lakes, waves, and beaches for all people through conservation, activism, research, and education. We will host on-campus activities, coordinate volunteer projects, amd provide off-campus activities open to anyone who is interested.

Wildlife Society: UW Student Chapter

To provide learning experiences about the outdoors and wildlife. We also function as a social group, providing social events and fundraisers.
