This website provides information on the research lab of Dr. Steven Roberts, faculty in the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences at the University of Washington. Research in this laboratory addresses issues concerning aquaculture and natural resource conservation. Most of the research is focused on growth, disease, and genetics of shellfish. These studies have used techniques at several biological levels including intracellular protein interactions and population diversity. The primary approaches involve characterizing the transcriptome of aquatic organisms to better understand organismal responses to physiological and environmental change.
