Established in support of School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences undergraduate and graduate students in good academic standing by Richard T. Whiteleather (UW 1935). A Fisheries alumnus and former Director of the Southeast Region of the National Marine Fisheries Service, Mr. Whiteleather had to work while in college, taking six years to finish his undergraduate degree. Recalling this, he established this fund to help students better focus on their studies.
