QUESTION: "How do I get a copy of Acrobat 8 Pro?"
ANSWER
- If you need Acrobat 8 Pro immediately, you may purchase the boxed copy of Acrobat 8 Pro from the University Bookstore for $149.95 payable via a UW ProCard Visa or a Purchase Order Number. Students/Staff/Faculty will need to present valid UW ID at the time of the purchase.
- If you do you not need Acrobat 8 pro immediately and/or are planning for the future, you can buy a paperless license of Acrobat 8 Pro for $37.11 from zones.com/uw.
While it is true that we do have the CDs for Acrobat 8 Pro PC/Mac, we will NOT pre-install this software on ANY computer in SAFS without the proof of purchase of one of these paperless licenses. You must go through the proper purchasing channels, get your license for Acrobat purchased, and show the receipt and/or license before the installation of the software.

In short, the above instructions will lead you to the UW's preferred commercial vendors site of zones.com/uw. From there, you will download, print, and fill out a PDF form specifying which licenses you would like to buy. Next, submit that paper work through your proper purchasing channels for purchase. Once purchased by your purchaser, have them print/email you a valid receipt. Submit that receipt to us and we will promptly get Acrobat 8 Pro installed on your PC.
Note: You will be purchasing the *license only* for Acrobat 8 Pro. You will not be purchasing or receiving the CD media and/or documentation.
It is highly recommended that you be aware of these changes as you plan ahead for the future. You will need to pre-purchase this software with any and all new computers, as we will no longer pre-install this software for you. Plan accordingly.
